Greer Geckos have been participating in a variety of physical activities! When the weather is nice, two classes are outside enjoying the vitamin D and fresh air. During the rainy days, two classes join together to work on teamwork and skill development in the gym while a third class takes a turn in the PE palace. Classes have also had the opportunity to enjoy some choice and comfort by self-selecting activities of interest. Take a look at what we've been learning.
Our Greer Geckos are learning so much in the first few weeks of PE. All of the PE teachers are PROUD of the super attitudes and efforts we experience with our students.
As we finish up a super September, take a look at what each class is learning during the next two weeks... Mrs. Carpenter's classes are participating in PE in the gym. Grades 3-5 will work on fitness testing, wellness reporting, and tennis activities. Grades K-2 will work on Locomotor movements and cooperative games. Mrs. Bond's classes are participating in PE on the field. Grades 4-5 will be starting a biking unit. Grades K-3 are working on soccer and kicking skills. Mrs. Tharp's classes are participating in PE on the teaching blacktop. Grades K-3 will be working on locomotor movements and exploring the use of new equipment and games. Headstart and Bright Star classes continue to work on moving safely and guided discovery with various equipment pieces. Keep up the great work Geckos! We are excited to use a blog and website this year to showcase our awesome Greer students. Be sure to check back regularly for updates and resources. The site is currently under construction, thank you for your understanding!
